The Department of Foreign Affairs for The ITDA

Overseer of Foreign Affairs: Rei Admin
Deputy Director: Vacant

If you become a Diplomat in the Ambassador Corps: The Department of Foreign Affairs maintains interregional relations by communicating with other regions. Each embassy of a region of The ITDA is either a treaty-ally or potentially-ally of a region or the alliance, and we maintain our foreign affairs abroad by establishing embassies in other regions. Each embassy is run by its own ambassador, and by joining the Diplomatic Corps you can also become one. As an ambassador, you will be a diplomat representing the association abroad.

You will be expected to deliver any materials provided to you by the Overseer of Foreign Affairs, Secretary General, and keep an eye out for anything in your assigned region that may be of interest to the ITDA. Of course, you will need to conduct yourself in a manner appropriate to a diplomat at all times. Being an Ambassador is a great way to get exposure to different regional cultures, meet new people, and make a name for yourself inter-regionally.

The Department of Foreign Affairs works closely with the rest of the government and community of The ITDA to swifty communicate information to the rest of the NationStates World. It falls on the shoulders of these brave men and women to decypher strange foreign dialects, interact with new types of peoples, and to express the will of The ITDA onto them. You will be taught these skills and more. Not for the faint hearted.
”How do you know so much about swallows?” “Well, you have to know these things when you’re an ambassador, you know.”

Sanctions for Foreign Affairs
Sanctions is defined by the alliance as a threatened penalty for disobeying a law, rule, region’s sovereignty or the association sovereignty as a whole. Sanctions can be imposed or lifted anytime by the ITDA Administration team. The Sanctions are to be enforced in the entire association and it’s regions. Sanctions can be on individuals, regions, or groups. There are many different types of Sanctions the association can impose and anyone can receive several at once.

[list=a]
[*]Persona Non Grata: This is where an individual, region, or group will not be welcome into the association, it’s regions, discord and offsite property. They will be banned on the spot.
[*]World Assembly Sanctions: World Assembly Sanctions are defined as that individual, region, or group will not receive any kind of World Assembly cooperation from the alliance or its regions. This means if those sanctioned want World Assembly support, they will be denied and the association will automatically vote against that sanctioned one’s wishes. The association may also move to block a World Assembly proposal before it reaches quorum.
[*]Military Assistance Sanctiom: The alliance May deny any military support for sanctioned individuals, regions, or groups. The association’s military is independent and supports who it chooses to. The sanctioned individual won’t receive military support, WA liberation support, or piller aid.

Sanctions are a last resort for the association and it’s regional members. It is best to resolve things peacefully as possible with diplomatic efforts.
